November News from KRSS

KRSS has been busy with many different things this month: preparing for the upcoming drama performance of “Merry Grinchmas” on Dec 1st-3rd; participating in many clubs and activities such as art, fitness, and Dungeons and Dragons; excelling in sports and qualifying for the provincials in cross country and volleyball; and representing student voice and planning student events via Student Council, the Anti-Racism working group session, Student Leadership Conference, and Student Trustee sessions.

A highlight this month was our school assembly viewing of our Culinary Arts teacher Mr. Loic Fauteux-Goulet competing in the finals of the Great Canadian Baking Show, and winning the series (his amazing underwater-themed cake is shown below)! Our school community cheered and we were all very proud of his accomplishment.

Wildflower Creston has been busy learning and exploring as the seasons turn, and enjoyed joining KRSS for the “Golden Shoes Games” in the gym. Students competed in team games and obstacle courses, and Wildflower Creston was invited to join in with the fun. They also joined in a school welcome BBQ, and did a Halloween costume parade around KRSS to showcase all of their fantastic outfits.
