February is Black History Month. Watch for news about school projects, happenings and events this month to celebrate Black history in Canada. 

The BC Black History Awareness Society has hosted a Black History Month program to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of historical and contemporary people of African descent. The program has been going on for 30 years! Check out their events page for all the details.
